There were very basic motion tweens and bone tool movements used to animate the shark and the octopus that attacked your hand cursor. However they were good additions to the game because they matched the theme. I like how the bubbles were animated as a way to change the banner scenery to above the surface on the beach when the game was over in order to actually display the ad.
Also, I like that you had two tries to grab the bottle during the game. It made me want to play over and over again to see if I could successfully do it. My repeated attempts to win the free getaway subliminally made me want to drink a corona.
The typography on this banner worked very well to fit the beach theme. The font was not too bold and overwhelming so it matched the relaxed feeling that a beach theme should portray.
The slogan "grabbing a corona shouldn't be this hard" is effective because it inadvertently makes you think how much you just want a corona. The failure to get the bottle is what gets consumers to want to go out and actually buy it because they do not like to fail. It makes you want a corona even if it was not on your mind before.
I would like to try to use the subliminal thought technique that this banner ad used in order to hook the consumer for my banner ad.
